Railsback's second film, The 6th Stage of Sugar, is a dark, short narrative exploring how far forgiveness can go. Edited in a non-traditional way, the father-daughter relationship is juxtaposed to the process of caramelizing sugar.
Once Caramel is burnt, there is no fixing it.
This is the first of many collaborations with actor Lindsay Rathert.
